Planned Giving

“I recognized that there is nothing better than to be glad and to do well during life. For every man, moreover, to eat and drink and enjoy the fruit of all his labor is a gift of God”
– Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

Most of us recognize that spiritual and material gifts come from the Lord. We often want to give back to God for all he has done for us. The majority of what we own is in assets, not cash. Planned giving helps us to determine what assets we can use to create a Catholic legacy.

A planned gift is something anyone can do. It is simply deciding how to give an asset you already have at a later date. The easiest method of making a planned gift is by making a bequest in a Will. Your bequest can contribute to an endowment that aligns with your beliefs and values, such as your parish, school or a ministry that you have worked with or supported.

The Catholic Foundation will convert the assets you leave in your will to cash to help fund the endowment(s) of your choice. Our staff will meet with you and your financial advisors to facilitate your gift.
